Agreements in Place Since 2015
Nord established formal agreements with three First Nations before exploration began, ensuring genuine partnership from day one. These agreements cover employment, training, environmental monitoring, and economic participation across our 78 km² property.

We established agreements early, before any discovery. This ensures the communities are true partners in both the exploration process and any future development. Local hiring, environmental monitoring roles, and revenue sharing are built into our operations from the start.

TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES
78 Square Kilometres of Shared Opportunity
Our Castle property encompasses the historic Castle, Beaver, and Violet mines within the traditional territories of three First Nations. Located 85 km northwest of Cobalt near Gowganda, this land has supported communities for generations through hunting, fishing, and trapping. Our operations integrate with these traditional uses.
PARTNERSHIP STRUCTURE
Beyond Compliance: Genuine Participation
Our agreements go beyond regulatory requirements. Each First Nation has designated representatives who participate in environmental monitoring, receive regular operational updates, and have input on exploration plans. Local community members receive priority for employment and contract opportunities. Training programs ensure skills development stays within the communities.
